Taking the time to get the education needed in order to become an RN is a great goal for a lot of people. There will be hard work that is required but after everything is said and done if you were to accomplish your goal of changing from being an LPN to become an RN changes are you will be happy with your decision.

While no one can know for sure, having more respect and of course more responsibility and hopefully a higher salary would be welcome for many.

When it comes to choosing a program first you may want to decide if an online program would be better than a more traditional campus based option.  You will want to weight all your choices and do not rule out anything at this point in time. Doing some brain storming of the pro's and con's for your specific situation and your goals would be a great idea.

Maybe get a pad of paper and a pen, then just write down everything that comes to your mind about if an online program or a campus based one would work better for you. Also jot down all your career goals and why or why not going back to school would be a good idea.

There will be expenses involved so you would likely not want to take this on if over the long term you would not benefit significantly. Of course it should be reasonably expected and an LPN to goes on to get the needed education to become an RN would be able to earn more more. You will want to check your local area or where you plan to live to ensure that is likely the case.

Once you have thought about all this and if you are ready then contact some schools to compare your options. You can learn more about online options here http://www.lpntornprograms.com/online-lpn-to-rn.html
Now that you have thought about it be sure to take some action. A lot of people get all these ideas in there head of the things they would like to do and then never get started. Time can go by quickly so putting it off for another day to start researching your options may not be a good idea.
